To alleviate symptoms and overcome pain and injury, there must be clarity around the client's physiology (how well their body operates internally) and their neurological health (brain, CNS, PNS).

So, of course, this means considering the client's mental, emotional and spiritual health, sleeping patterns, stress levels, quality of the water they drink, quality of the food they eat, and how much movement they get each day. Our approach is very unique here. By completing the ‘Intake Forms' before your initial consultation, your therapist will have reviewed your case. This means they will understand your pain/injury or health condition thoroughly and will have reviewed any relevant scans and reports. This saves tremendous time (time = money) in the first session, which can be used for assessment and therapy.

Your initial physiotherapy session includes a detailed head-to-toe assessment of all your joints (from your toes to your jaw), muscles, nerves and soft tissues, including the fascia. You can tell much about a client's overall health and vitality through observation, movement and touch. The body provides so many clues.

From this detailed assessment, the therapist can offer a personalised approach to healing and overcoming pain. This may include hands-on therapy, movement therapy, breath work, lifestyle changes, dietary recommendations, and supplement recommendations.

To be ‘whole' means possessing mental, emotional and spiritual health. And this means that the (11) energy systems of the body are all in balance and functioning well.

Physiotherapy cannot be solely focused on bones, joints, muscles and nerves. The health of these tissues depends upon the health of the other systems: the digestive system, immune system, reproductive system, cardiovascular system, etc.

Our therapists have more advanced methods for evaluating your overall health and wellness. This includes the Health Appraisal Questionnaire (HAQ), blood testing, stool samples, Oligoscans, food diaries, and more.

We also offer functional risk assessments for athletes of all ages. Using the powerful ‘Move 2 Perform' software, we can assess an athlete's movement patterns and accurately predict their risk of injury. And, of course, provide individualised corrective exercises to help the athlete minimise these risks. Most major sporting organisations have used this injury risk assessment tool: NBA, NHL, Premier League (football), MLB, and many Olympic programs.
