The Amazing Health Wonders of Bone Broth and Turmeric

It is no secret that bone broth and turmeric contain rich minerals and all kinds of healthy goodness that your whole body will love. In fact, there are numerous reasons why turmeric and bone broth should become part of your daily diet.

Top 10 Benefits of Consuming Bone Broth

bone broth

  1. Bone broth helps to heal leaky gut (intestinal permeability). Bone broth contains gelatine, which assists in the protection and healing of the mucosal lining of the digestive tract, making it easier for your body to digest and absorb nutrients.
  2. Bone broth helps to heal your joints.Bone broth is loaded with glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). I am sure that you have heard of glucosamine, the supplement that so many people are taking to help reduce joint pain and inflammation? Well, glucosamine contains one of the GAGs found in bone broth. The difference is that when you consume bone broth you also get chondroitin, hyaluronic acid and at least a dozen other GAGs at the same time. Bone broth encourages the growth of collagen in the body, repairs injured joints, and reduces discomfort and inflammation.
  3. Bone broth helps to fight infections such as colds and flu.
  4. Bone broth helps to keep skin, hair and nails in peak condition. The collagen and gelatine in bone broth encourages hair growth and helps strengthen your hair, skin, and nails.
  5. Bone broth can assist with healing from injury including the promotion of bone formation, growth and repair. The calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and other important minerals found in bone broth can assist with bone grow and repair.
  6. Bone broth can assist with detoxification. Our liver is the master organ of detoxification. The livers’ ability to detoxify is limited by the availability of an amino acid called glycine. You guessed it: bone broth is packed full of glycine and as such can assist the liver and enhance its ability to detoxify the body.bone broth recipe
  7. Bone broth is super easy and super cheap to make. So how do you make bone broth? You’ll need a few key ingredients and tools: beef, lamb or chicken bones and a slow cooker or large pot. Ensure that the bones you’re using come from healthy animals (biodynamic, free-range, grass-finished).Place the bones in the slow cooker or pot and cover with filtered water. Allow the bones to simmer for 24-48 hours. Remove the bones and then store the remaining broth in your refrigerator or freezer.
  8. Homemade bone broth is much more effective and healthier than buying supplements. Bone broth contains all of the nutrients and minerals found in bones and tendons rather than just one or two (glucosamine/chondroitin) found in pills. Slow cooking the bones preserves the essential nutrients better than extraction through high-heat methods used by most supplement companies.
  9. Bone broth fights systemic and peripheral inflammation. Because bone broth contains very high levels of amino acids glycine and proline, which are anti-inflammatory, it can have a positive effect on reducing both systemic (cardiovascular) and peripheral (joint) inflammation.
  10. Bone broth encourages sleep and helps to calm the mind. The amino acid glycine can be very calming.

Good information. Recovering - hopefully - from breast cancer after surgery and do not want more drugs that will lead to a secondary cancer. Fellow patients cite liver cancer after rounds of drugs for the initial breast cancer.

I take beef broth with turmeric in powder. I cannot cook. I am 87 years old. I find that my knee pain fro OA has improved enormously. Also I feel well broadly speaking. I recommend it to everybody for good health in general. I sleep well and my IBS is not giving me any trouble any longer.
